2024 DANC Water Quality Report

The Town of Lyme Water Districts Annual Quality Water Reports for the year 2024 has been finalized.  This report contains information regarding drinking water.  The report is attached below and copies are available in the Town of Lyme Office, 12175 NYS Route 12E Chaumont, NY 13622 during regular business hours.

Special Use Permit Language Public Hearing

Public Hearing for Town of Lyme

The Town of Lyme will be holding a Public Hearing on Wednesday June 11, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. at the Town Municipal Offices located at 12175 NYS RT 12E, Chaumont, NY to consider the proposed amendments to our Zoning Law to change the language for Special Use timeframes. The regular monthly meeting and any other business that may come before the Board will follow at 6:30 p.m. A full text of the above referenced laws are on file with the Town Clerk and may be inspected during normal business hours. All persons wishing to be heard on the issue should be present at the time and place set forth or have written comments submitted to the Town Board or Clerk prior to that date and time. Any person requiring special accommodations to participate in such Public Hearing should notify the Town Clerk at 315-649-2788 at least 3 business days prior to the hearing.

Air Compressor Bid

The Town of Lyme is accepting bids for an Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor. The air compressor still works properly and is available for viewing at the Town Highway Garage.

Sealed bids will be accepted until the close of business at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.  Bids may be submitted by mail to Lyme Town Clerk, PO Box 66, Chaumont, NY 13622, hand-delivered to the Town Clerk’s Office, 12175 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, NY 13622, or emailed to lymetownclerk@townoflyme.com. Bids will be opened on January 8, 2025, during the regular monthly Town Board Meeting. The Town Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Part-Time Summer Recreation Positions

The Town of Lyme is looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our Summer Recreation Program team. This seasonal program runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., July through August.

We are currently hiring for the following part-time positions:

  • Program Director
  • Director’s Assistant
  • Two Recreation Assistants

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and supervision of program participants
  • Engage children through educational and recreational activities
  • Collaborate with team members to create a fun and positive environment

Part Time Groundskeeper

The Town of Lyme is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to fill a part-time Groundskeeper position. This seasonal role requires 20–25 hours per week, running from May through October.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and prepare Town Park grounds, including athletic fields
  • Operate hand tools and landscaping equipment
  • Clean and remove litter and debris from park grounds and building areas
