The Lyme Town Clerk is seeking interested individuals to serve as Deputy Town Clerk.  Applicants must have basic accounting knowledge, computer skills, willingness to assist the public, ability to work independently and be able to attend board meetings and take minutes.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Town of Lyme (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following:

Separate sealed BIDS for New Highway Garage work consisting of constructing a new 176’ x 72’ pre-engineered metal building. The building will include bays for vehicles, trucks, and work bays, storage, offices, breakroom, mechanical room, toilet, locker room, and mezzanine. The building will include plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Will be received by the Town of Lyme at the Village Office at 12175 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, New York, until 2:00 pm (Standard Time – Daylight Savings Time) on November 29, 2023, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

American Iron and Steel

Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.

The Lyme Central School District Board of Education, Town of Lyme Board, and Village of Chaumont Board will meet on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Lyme Central School District for a Tri-Board Regular Meeting. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM and will be held in the LCS Library.

Public Notice- Town of Lyme Residents

The Town of Lyme, Town Board will be holding Budget Work Sessions in preparation of the Town Budget for the year 2024. The meetings will take place on Thursday October 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday October 11^th, October 18^th, October 25, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the Town Municipal Offices located at 12175 NYS RT 12E, Chaumont, NY. Any other business that may come before the Board will follow.

Proposed Local Law:   Prohibition of Clutter, Litter, Debris and Other Waste

          PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Local Law has been introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Lyme to address a prohibition of clutter, litter, debris and other waste within the Town.

          PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing in connection with the proposed legislation will be held at the Municipal Office, located at 12175 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, New York on October 11, 2023 at 6:15 p.m.  An opportunity to be heard in regard thereto will then and there be given to all persons interested in this proposed legislation.
